  • Day 1

    Perth

    Morning

    It’s time to get ready for your road-trip, and the first step is to pick up your campervan from our depot in Kewdale. Our staff will help you get to know your vehicle and then you can get settled in and begin your adventure. We recommend taking the time to stop in at Teeter Bakery and grab one of their buttery croissants and a coffee, as you also need to fuel yourself during your trip.

    Afternoon

    While you are out and about in Perth, why not visit the Perth City Centre. You can grab some essentials and fill up your campervan with all your favourite road-trip snacks while soaking up the city vibe.

    Evening

    It’s time to enjoy some dinner before hitting the road the next day, so why not treat yourself to dinner at Balthazar. It’s fine-dining experience and carefully curated menu will be the perfect treat before heading out on the road and experiencing meals in your campervan.

    Perth to Margaret River

You can also spend some of the time taking a stroll around Kings Park and Botanic Garden. The Garden overlooks the Perth central business district and is a combination of bushland, botanical gardens and grassed areas for you to enjoy.

    Now it’s time to leave Perth behind and head towards Margaret River. There are lots of places that you can stop along the way, from the Dolphin Discovery Centres to Lighthouses, there is so much to be found along the journey. So, take your time and find something that takes your fancy to stop in and visit.

    Evening

    Wind up your fist day on the road with a tour of Lake Cave, which is just a short drive from Margaret River. This stunning natural landmark is home to a tranquil lake located in a pristine chamber beneath a karri forest. Book a one-hour guided tour and see this for natural wonder for yourself, all while hearing all about facts and stories that your tour guide will share with you.

    Today is less about driving, and more about experiencing the beauty and attractions of the Margaret River region. To start your day off with a bang, we recommend taking a quad bike tour of Margaret River.     The afternoon is the perfect time to catch a wave at Gas Bay, the exposed reef break that has reliable surf, especially in the summer months. If surfing is not your thing, you can still marvel at the fantastic ocean views and take a wander along the beach.

    After such a hearty breakfast you might need to take the time to stretch your legs. Meelup Beach is the perfect spot for this, with its white sand and turquoise water it is a spot worthy of a space on your Instagram feed.

    Evening

    A great way to finish the day is take a sunset stroll along Little Beach. This is one of the area’s most beautiful spots, it is a perfect way to spend the evening before heading to your campsite for a good night’s rest.

    Albany to Middleton

    Distance : 5.9 Kms

    Morning

    Morning is a perfect time to visit two if Albany’s most dramatic coastal landmarks, The Gap and Natural Bridge. From the lookouts you will be greeted with incredible views of the Southern Ocean while enjoying the sounds of the crashing waves.

    Afternoon

    Continue your day with a trip to the Granite Skywalk. The hike takes you through towering Karri and Marri forests, where you may spot some of the 78 bird species and over 700 flowering plants along the way. At the top, the lookout rewards you with sweeping views across the landscape.

    Evening

    After a day out in nature a cosy evening resting in your motorhome might be just the thing you need to recover from all the walking you did today. Take the time to cook a delicious meal in the onboard kitchen before retiring for the night.

    Middleton to Ravensthorpe

    Morning

    Fuel up (yourself and your motorhome) as you are about to head on one of Australia’s most iconic drives, the Nullarbor Plain. For this journey you will need to make sure you have plenty of water and fuel, but as we are breaking the trip up into sections and adding in a couple of overnight stays it is not as long a journey.

    Afternoon

    It’s now time to head towards our first stop, Ravensthorpe. On arrival why not treat yourself to a delicious meal at Ravy Country Kitchen.

    Evening

    After the drive head to your campsite and enjoy all the comforts of your motorhome. This is a great opportunity to rest up before tomorrow.

    Ravensthorpe to Balladonia

    Balladonia to Mundrabilla

    Afternoon

    This afternoon you will be driving along Australia’s longest and straightest road, the 147 km stretch between Balladonia and Caiguna. Be sure to stop for a photo at the famous wildlife road sign, which is a classic Nullarbor moment.

    The Great Ocean Road to Melbourne
